Joanna is a strategic and results-oriented executive with over 20 years of experience leading digital transformations, scaling operations, and driving innovation within complex global organizations.
As Chief Information Officer at Basis Global Technologies, Joanna oversees Program Management, IT & Business Systems, Data Privacy & Cyber Security, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. She plays a pivotal role in synchronizing cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives across the company.
She is known for her ability to align technology with business goals, driving both operational excellence and innovation, including overseeing M&A integrations. She is a member of the Executive Team and works closely with the Board of Directors.
Previously, Joanna served as Director of Digital Portfolio Management at Weight Watchers International, where she led a significant digital transformation and managed several high-impact global projects, including launching digital products and integrating acquisitions.
Joanna is a founding Board Member of Women in Agile, where she served as Treasurer. She has also served in an Advisory Board capacity for several non-profit organizations and for-profit early-stage technology start-ups.
Active in the technology community, Joanna regularly speaks at international conferences on topics such as strategic execution and diversity in tech. She is passionate about fostering inclusive cultures and driving value through innovative leadership.
Joanna is an avid traveler, sailor, scuba diver, and marathon runner, and lives in Chicago with her husband and two dogs.

Personal Interests
- Traveling – I’ve been to all seven continents, dozens of countries and hundreds of cities. I am also an avid cruiser with over fifteen cruises under my belt.
- Running – I’ve run a number of half-marathons and six full marathons (NYC, Chicago, Berlin, London, Tokyo, and Boston, aka the Abbott World Majors).
- Scuba Diving and Sailing – I’m a PADI Open Water certified diver and a certified sailor (ASA 101, 103, 104 and 114). I love being out on or under the water!
